For Patients
If you are a patient and want to see a psychiatrist, you will need to see a GP (General Practitioner) to get a referral letter to see Dr. Dang Nguyen. A GP referral allows you to get a Medicare rebate for your consultations and provide shared communication for your ongoing care.
Once you have this referral you or your GP can email the referral to us. If you have the GP referral letter, bring this with you in case the email does not get to us prior to your appointment.

You will be asked
– your first name, surname & contact details.
- if you have a GP referral
- If your GP has requested an Assessment & Management Plan or Ongoing Psychiatric care. Usually if you have complex mental health needs you will require ongoing psychiatric care.
You will be provided with an appointment time to see Dr. Dang Nguyen.
1 week prior to your appointment we will send you a sms message to confirm your appointment. We ask you to please respond to the text reminder within the time frame to ensure your appointment is not given to another patient who is urgently awaiting an appointment. We appreciate your understanding around this.
If it is your first time at Lismore Consulting rooms, please arrive 10minutes earlier to complete some forms prior to your appointment. Fees for the consult are usually paid prior to going into your appointment with Dr. Dang Nguyen and the Medicare rebate can be processed on the spot if you have your savings card with you.
If it is Telehealth appointment all your forms have been emailed and entered into our system along with payment prior to your appointment, so all you have to do is click on the link that will be emailed to you.
